More than 21 million passengers from the airports in the Kingdom

General Civil Aviation Authority issued its quarterly report on air traffic data for airports in the Kingdom for the first quarter of 2017 m, which included air traffic airports in the Kingdom for the first quarter in terms of the number of flights, in terms of number of passengers and cargo traffic in tons.

The report revealed that the King Abdulaziz international airport in Jeddah came in first place in terms of the number of flights during the first quarter of 2017 m, for a total of 54.547 international and domestic flight in particular, King Khalid international airport in Riyadh in second with total 47.733 journey, then King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, bringing the number of flights during the same quarter 22.123.

And Prince Mohamed Bin Abdulaziz international airport in Medina fourth, there were flights 12.761, Abha airport ranked fifth, with total 8.174 trip.

In terms of foreign destinations, Dubai came in first place as most destination airports passengers received the Kingdom, while Cairo came in second, followed by Doha and Istanbul and Jakarta.

In terms of passenger numbers, King Abdulaziz international airport, Jeddah, ranked first, with 7970515 passengers during the first quarter of 2017 m, followed by King Khalid international airport, Riyadh, for a total of 5916799 passengers, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam b 2320093 traveling, in fourth place Prince Mohamed Bin Abdulaziz in Medina, with 1790439 passengers, whereas Abha airport came fifth, with a total 859457 passengers.

The report also said that the King Abdulaziz international airport in Jeddah was leading cargo airports in the Kingdom during the first quarter of 2017 m, enabling the handling 66259.4 tons, came second, King Khalid international airport in Riyadh, a total of 62226.4 tons, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, a total of 26593.3 tons.
